Euro Hostels News

If live music is your thing there’s a great month ahead of you in March 2016.

There’s some great gigs planned throughout March catering for everyone’s personal taste.

Glasgow leads the way so why not try one of the live shows scheduled below.

Glasgow

Monday 14 March @O2 Academy – Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott

Thurday 17 – Sunday 14 March @O2 Academy – The 1975

Friday 18 March @The Hydro – Ellie Goulding

Saturday 19 March @The Hydro – Little Mix

Friday 25 & Saturday 26 March @The Hydro – Adele

Wednesday 30 March @O2 ABC – Primal Scream

EH! Recommendation – The 1975

The 1975 formed in 2003 in Wilmslow, south of Manchester and released their self-titled debut album in 2013. It entered the UK chart at no 1 and certainly sent out the message that the band were not going to compromise their glamorous and unique style.

With songs differing from its predecessor in style and layout, their live shows are amazing and cater for a massive spectrum of fans from all types of music genres.

Their latest album appears dominated by the band’s beloved 80s influences including Peter Gabriel, Scritti Politti, INXS and Tears For Fears to name a few. Their current tour promises to be a riot and Glasgow plays host to the band on four consecutive nights.

Liverpool

Tuesday 22 – Thursday 24 March @Echo Arena – Little Mix

Saturday 26 March @The Philharmonic Hall – Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott

Friday 25 March @O2 Academy – Blossoms

EH! Recommendation – Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott

Both outstanding vocalists in their own right, Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott’s time with the Beautiful South signified the band’s most successful period, and since reuniting they have gone from strength to strength.

Having just released their second album together, March sees the duo touring yet again with their shows selling out throughout the length and breadth of the country.

Worshipped by many from his days in The Housemartins, Heaton’s love of pop and soul is never more noticeable in his live shows and the pair’s bittersweet voices make sometimes warm and sometimes withering – but always engaging – comments on the nation and its people.

Not a gig to miss.

Newcastle Upon Tyne

Friday 11 March @City Hall – James Morrison

Wednesday 16 March @Metro Radio Arena – Ellie Goulding

Thursday 17 March @Metro Radio Arena – Little Mix

EH! Recommendation – James Morrison

Singer-Songwriter James Morrison brings his tour to Newcastle upon Tyne on Friday 11 March 2016 when he plays at the City Hall.

With three studio albums under his belt, and a fourth planned for release in October this year, Morrison had established himself as a firm favourite with fans of every music genre.
